Great job, Lauren! Looks like you're catching the photography bug. ;)

Now go buy this lens (Canon 50mm 1.8):
http://www.amazon.com/Canon-50mm-1-8-Camera-Lens/dp/B00007E7JU/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1207631359&sr=8-1

It's got a 1.8 aperture and on your camera (because it's not a 'fullframe' camera) it will operate more like an 85mm lens. You'll get super beautiful portraits where your eyes are in focus and your ears aren't - makes sense? This lens is hands down the most "bang for your buck." Enjoy!

I see the link didn't work... oh well. Just search for Canon 50mm 1.8. It's ONLY like $85! You will love this lens. I've got the 1.4 and use it all the time.

We don't have any photos of the Gulde crew, however, I bet Matt's mom does. I'm almost positive she has a wedding photo of them. I'm not sure when we'll be back in Amarillo, but I'll try and remember to get copies. I've been meaning to do the same for myself.

As far as your camera goes, I can just look at a photo and tell. Just kidding... no, if you look in the bottom right corner of the flickr page, you'll see a link that says "more properties" - when you click on that you can see what camera and camera settings the photo was taken at. ;) It's actually a great way to learn - you can see what aperture, etc. photos were taken at.

I don't own that lens, but a friend of mine does. She shoots weddings for $6500 a pop and uses that lens, so it's gotta be good. And at that price, it's certainly worth every penny. Maybe a good Mother's Day present. ;)

Off I go, Francis is yelling down the stairs and it's suppposed to be "quiet time." - ha!
